XLRI Jamshedpur to Launch New Campus in Amaravati Focused on International Collaborations

XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business schools, is expanding its footprint with the launch of a new campus in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. This new campus will focus primarily on international collaborations and offer unique programs such as dual degrees and integrated courses in partnership with global universities.
The announcement comes from Father S George, S.J., Director of XLRI Jamshedpur, during a recent interview. He shared that the Amaravati campus will serve as a hub for international academic partnerships and will offer specialized courses like the five-year integrated MBA, BBA with LLB, and other unique academic offerings. The campus will also aim to strengthen global academic networks and provide students with global exposure, in line with the institution’s vision of enhancing international education.
“Our new Amaravati campus is designed to support international collaborations and will focus on providing dual-degree programs. We are looking forward to working with top global universities to offer students opportunities that will help them grow in a globalized business world,” Father S George said.
The Amaravati campus will be a critical part of XLRI’s expansion strategy, complementing its existing campuses in Jamshedpur, Delhi NCR, and soon-to-be-launched Mumbai campus. The institution's growth is part of a broader vision to have a presence in key regions across the country, ensuring it remains accessible to a wider range of students while maintaining its core values of academic excellence and innovation.
Focus on Global Partnerships and New Age Courses
In addition to the focus on international collaborations, the Amaravati campus is expected to bring cutting-edge programs in fields such as business analytics, healthcare, and innovation, building on XLRI’s existing partnerships with universities like Rutgers University in the U.S. and IAE Bordeaux in France. These initiatives are part of XLRI’s effort to integrate global expertise into its curriculum and offer students a diverse set of learning opportunities that prepare them for the evolving demands of the international business landscape.
The new campus will also contribute to regional development, attracting global academic attention and offering students from Andhra Pradesh and surrounding regions access to world-class education in business management.
A Model for Quality and Consistency Across Campuses
XLRI’s commitment to maintaining the same level of quality across all its campuses is evident in its efforts to ensure that all campuses, including the new one in Amaravati, will follow the same curriculum, admissions process, and placement standards. Faculty from the Jamshedpur campus will be deployed to the new campus to ensure consistency in teaching quality.
Father S George emphasized that despite the expansion, XLRI remains focused on its core principles of academic rigor and leadership development. "Our goal is to ensure that all our campuses offer the same level of excellence. Our focus is on quality, not quantity, and we will maintain the same academic standards across all campuses," he said.
The Amaravati campus will be a testament to XLRI’s vision of preparing future leaders with a strong global outlook and the skills required to thrive in an interconnected world.
