Krishna River Bridge Nears Completion

A 3.11 km bridge on the Krishna River, a key part of the Vijayawada West Bypass road near Venkatapalem village, is expected to open in June.
Trial runs for the bridge are scheduled for May. There is a possibility of a temporary opening this month for Narendra Modi's visit to the Amaravati Foundation Sabha.
Eight routes are planned to reach the Sabha venue. The primary route will be via Gollapudi over the new bridge, followed by Seed Access Road.
Current construction efforts are focused on completing the approach ramps, side walls, painting, and gap attachments. Other routes being considered involve Prakasam Barrage, Varadhi, Mangalagiri, Guntur, Narasaraopet, and a designated VIP route.
The official opening of the bridge is slated for June, pending the completion of remaining works. Preparations are ongoing for the Amaravati Foundation Sabha in a 250-acre area located behind the Secretariat. Road and canal development projects are also progressing.
