Chandrababu Naidu Envisions Amaravati as a Model Green City for the Nation

In a recent address, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared his vision for Amaravati, the newly declared capital of the state, emphasizing its potential as a model city for the nation. Naidu highlighted the meticulous planning, modern design, and the critical role played by farmers in the creation of the city.
“This is a model capital, something no one could have visualized at the time,” Naidu remarked. “We’ve planned it with the best architects and the best design. The sacrifices made by the farmers were essential—without them, we could not have built this city.” He added that, while construction is ongoing, the city’s development will continue to incorporate global best practices, ensuring Amaravati evolves into a world-class metropolis.
Naidu underlined that Amaravati is more than just the capital of Andhra Pradesh; it is poised to become a source of national pride. “This is not just a state capital; it’s a city that will bring pride to the nation,” he said. Unlike other cities, Amaravati is being built from scratch as a modern, green city, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
The Chief Minister emphasized the city’s forward-thinking design, with the goal of creating a clean, green, and technologically advanced urban space. The capital will be powered entirely by green energy, reflecting the state’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Amaravati is also set to integrate the latest technologies, including advancements in artificial intelligence and future-oriented infrastructure.
Naidu also discussed how every university in Amaravati will align with emerging industries, particularly in technology. “Every university will focus on subjects that integrate future knowledge and artificial intelligence, preparing students for the evolving global economy,” he explained.
Despite the challenges faced during the land acquisition process, Naidu expressed confidence that the sacrifices made by farmers will lead to long-term benefits for the region. “While the farmers may have faced difficulties in the past, they now have a bright future ahead,” Naidu concluded. “They will grow alongside the development of Amaravati.”
With its cutting-edge infrastructure, focus on sustainability, and commitment to technological integration, Amaravati is set to become a beacon of modern urban development in India, representing not just the future of Andhra Pradesh, but the future of the nation.
