Andhra Pradesh Government to Acquire Additional Land for Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh government plans to acquire an additional 44,000 acres of land for the Amaravati capital region. This acquisition will supplement the existing 33,000 acres where capital development is already underway.

The land acquisition will occur in Tulluru, Amaravati, Thadikonda, and Mangalagiri mandals. Specifically, villages such as Harischandrapuram and Kanteeru will be affected.

The acquired land is intended for the construction of an outer ring road, a railway line, and a potential international airport serving the capital region.

Notifications regarding the land acquisition are expected to be issued in the coming days.

With this additional acquisition, the total land holding for the Amaravati capital region will reach approximately 77,000 acres.
