Andhra Pradesh Government Revives Amravati Twin IT Towers Project After Davos Tour

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to revive the Amravati Twin IT Towers project, which was initially proposed in 2019 but stalled after a change in government. The project, designed by Genesis Planners of Hyderabad, aims to develop a 121,000 square feet IT park spread across five acres in the core capital area of Amravati. The plan includes three basements, a ground floor, and a 12-story building. The project was recently brought back into focus following Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's Davos tour, where he emphasized the need to attract international IT and AI-related companies to the state.

The government has instructed officials to expedite the construction process and ensure the project is completed as soon as possible. The IT department has already begun assessing the current status of the project and identifying the next steps. Additionally, the state is considering allocating 20 acres of land in the Amravati region for an IT park, following a proposal from HCL, which already operates from its Megha Towers in Vijayawada. This move is part of a broader strategy to establish Andhra Pradesh as a hub for IT, electronics, and artificial intelligence-related industries.

The revival of the Twin IT Towers project is expected to boost infrastructure development in Amravati and attract global IT firms to the region. The government is also working on creating a comprehensive infrastructure plan to support these initiatives, as directed by Chief Minister Naidu. With the project back on track, Andhra Pradesh aims to position itself as a leading destination for technology and innovation in South India.
