Amaravati to Get ESI Hospital and Medical College on 20-Acre Plot

Vijayawada: The development of Amaravati has received a significant boost as the Cabinet sub-committee approved the allocation of 20 acres of land for the construction of a modern Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) hospital and medical college. This decision was made during a meeting held on Friday, where the committee discussed land allotments for various institutions.

P. Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, highlighted the importance of this project in strengthening healthcare infrastructure and providing comprehensive medical facilities for workers covered under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme.

The upcoming ESI hospital and medical college will serve insured employees and their dependents while offering advanced medical education to students. This aligns with the objectives of the ESI Corporation, which is committed to delivering health benefits, disability compensation, and other welfare services to the workforce.

This initiative underscores the state government’s efforts to position Amaravati as a center of excellence in both healthcare and education. Additional details on the construction schedule and planned facilities are anticipated soon, marking a promising development for the region’s growth.
