Amaravati Land Acquisition Planned

Amaravati Land Acquisition Planned

The government is planning to acquire an additional 30,000 acres of land for Amaravati, the state capital.

This new acquisition will supplement the existing 33,000 acres where construction is already in progress.

The additional land is intended to accommodate future development needs, including a new airport, an expanded capital region, and industrial projects.

The land acquisition process will involve acquiring land from farmers, potentially continuing policies established in 2014.

Government officials are currently in discussions with farmers regarding the terms of the acquisition.

An official notification concerning the 30,000-acre land acquisition is expected to be released shortly.

The plans also consider a new railway line linking Khammam, Telangana, to Amaravati.
