Amaravati-Hyderabad Expressway Approved

The central government has approved the Amaravati-Hyderabad Expressway, a 220-km Greenfield project estimated to cost Rs 25,000 crore.

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently under preparation, following instructions issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on April 9, 2025.
The decision to proceed with the DPR followed a government meeting held on February 3, 2025, which focused on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014.
