Designed with the future in mind, the city is set to become one of the most environmentally conscious urban centers in the world.
Amaravati, often referred to as "The People's Capital," is being constructed with the highest standards of sustainability. The city’s urban design is influenced by the natural flow of the river, with green spaces and recycled water sustaining its development. At the heart of Amaravati lies a network of 13 urban plazas, each representing a district of Andhra Pradesh, symbolizing the state's rich cultural heritage while paving the way for its modern future.
A key feature of Amaravati’s vision is its commitment to energy self-sufficiency. The government complex, a symbol of the state's forward-thinking approach, is powered entirely by renewable energy, including solar power. The city’s sustainable transportation system will rely on buses, metros, water taxis, and bicycles, ensuring cleaner, healthier air for its residents while promoting energy efficiency.
The innovative use of recycled water for irrigation ensures that green spaces in the city are maintained without compromising water resources. Amaravati's design is centered around people, with large shaded walkways, open public spaces, and a commitment to sustainable living at every corner. The Secretariat and government offices, arranged in five graceful towers, are surrounded by public squares with flowing water channels, creating an environment that encourages civic engagement and community.
