Amaravati Capital Project to be Relaunched

Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy has stated that the Amaravati capital project in Andhra Pradesh is set to be relaunched, though a specific date has not been confirmed.
The relaunch will see the resumption of projects valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh crore.
CRDA Commissioner K Kanna Babu briefed a delegation from the Singapore government on the project details and sought their support.
The Andhra Pradesh government has secured funding from international institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the development of Amaravati, which spans 217 square kilometers.
Singapore was a significant partner in the Amaravati project between 2014 and 2019. Francis Chong, a representative of the Singapore government, assured the Andhra Pradesh government of their collaboration to revive the partnership.
