Amaravati Capital City Project Underway

Construction is progressing on N. Chandrababu Naidu's Amaravati Capital City project in Andhra Pradesh, backed by ₹37,702 crore in projects.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to participate in a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the greenfield city. The city is being planned with assistance from Singapore.
The envisioned capital will comprise seven sub-cities.
The total estimated cost for Amaravati is ₹65,000 crore. Funding includes financial assistance from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank contributing ₹15,000 crore, and HUDCO providing ₹11,000 crore.
Discussions are currently underway with Germany's KfW bank for a potential additional investment of ₹5,000 crore.
The initial buildings, including the assembly and secretariat, are slated for completion by 2028. The BITS Pilani campus is planned to be operational by 2026.
